Jennifer A. Sheffield studied journalism at Boston University, after obtaining her B.A. degree in Anthropology from Skidmore College and University College London. Her professional resume includes serving as sports editor for The Skidmore News, working in media relations for the U.S. Olympic Committee, selling print advertising for Rowland Publishing and creating an entertainment column for The Eufaula Tribune. Among others -- Florida Sportsman, Panama City Living, the Chronicle of the Horse and Albany/Saratoga Times Union have published her work, over the span of an 18-year career.
What topics does the world need to talk about and can you tell those stories? Workshop titles previously offered include "Journalism with Jennifer;" Writing for the World;" and "Writing in Place" that explore these questions. Format, and content focuses on pitching your ideas to professional media but accommodates groups of mixed ages, and skill levels, meets standards of community and state collegiate-level communication curriculum, and, it serves interests of smaller, local businesses and regional not-for-profit organizations. Jennifer's part-time classroom experience has been teaching in K-12 public school.
